ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Poulami Banerjee Das is an Associate Professor of Architecture at Sister Nivedita University. With over 8 years of professional experience in the Urban Planning Advisory Sector and more than 10 years of teaching experience, she specializes in urban reforms, infrastructure projects, and academic consulting. Prof. Banerjee Das holds a B. Arch from IIEST, Shibpur, and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from IIT Roorkee. She is an active member of the Institute of Town Planners (ITPI) and is registered with the Council of Architecture (CoA).

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from IIEST, Shibpur, and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from IIT Roorkee.

Her professional journey includes significant contributions to urban reforms, infrastructure projects, industrial estate development, special investment zones, special economic zones, and tourism development projects. Her expertise encompasses feasibility studies, market assessment analysis, master planning, and conceptual planning. She has practical, on-the-ground experience collaborating with various National and State Governments across India, navigating the complexities of regulatory frameworks and policy implementations.
In the academic realm, Prof. Banerjee Das has more than a decade of experience teaching a variety of subjects within the architecture and planning domains. Her dedication to education is further demonstrated by her involvement in academic consulting, where she contributes to the development of educational programs and curricula.
Prof. Banerjee Das is an active member of the Institute of Town Planners (ITPI) and is registered with the Council of Architecture (CoA), reflecting her commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards. Her dual role as a practitioner and educator enables her to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of architecture and urban planning.
